Head of DevOps Delivery

Ranger4 is seeking a new Head of DevOps Delivery manage and build our DevOps Consultants and to serve as a recognised Subject Matter Expert and thought leader with deep expertise in DevOps operational models and the tools required to facilitate them. Applicants should have a proven capability to understand client capabilities and requirements and through workshop style engagements plan and execute transformations of traditional service models to a more agile and automated approach.

We'll be asking you to orchestrate and lead pre-sales and delivery efforts for DevOps transformation projects inclusive of discovery, assessment, solution design and implementation and:

-  Lead facilitation of group workshops to articulate how DevOps support models can impact ROI and TCO for customer IT estates
- Align and regularly communicate with Project Manager and extended teams during presales and project delivery to ensure timely delivery and awareness of potential problems or risk requiring resolution or mitigation
- Prepare and develop Statements of Work inclusive of overview, scope, duration, deliverables, resources, terms and conditions, assumptions, and pricing in collaboration with the Sales Account Manager
- Work with the client to design and implement proof of concept and full-scale transformations that enable automation, continuous integration/deployment and auto-scaling to customer applications
- Help customers assess and design applications which are suitable for a more agile infrastructure environment and incorporate them into a DevOps strategy
- Understand complex IT and business customer challenges and apply technology and product portfolio knowledge to solve problems in a consultative manner
- Perpetually seek to improve and refine the Ranger4 DevOps methodology, deliverables, sales collateral, and team roles and alignment
- Build and maintain a network of cross-functional technical resources within Ranger4 and across any relative partnerships to allow for higher productivity, increased business, and rapid resolution of problems and escalations
- Have invaluable knowledge of Ranger4's products/services (specifically application infrastructure, lifecycle management, performance management and release automation), pricing practices and selling skills
- Occasional presentations at technical conference or seminars
-  Work with Ranger4 leadership to help align the solution portfolio and overall services strategy with customer demand
- Actively participate in account and pipeline planning
- Have effective presentation skills with the capacity to articulate value to varying customer audiences (development and system administrators to CIO/CTO)
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and run virtual teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions for customers and prospects
- Evangelise Ranger4 solutions and services to large audiences at trade shows or via webinar
- Drive regular social media activity into the tech community to help deliver Ranger4 thought leadership and business generation
- Assist in the technical coordination between service integrators and partners in order to drive complex opportunities to close

Personal and Experience Credentials:

· A deep understanding of the DevOps opportunity and benefits and experience in both development and operational environments
· A proven track record of creating successful outcomes for customers, prospects, or clients using new and emerging technologies
· Deep knowledge of development and deployment processes such as agile and their impact on infrastructure and process management
· Able to build robust and scalable code to deliver innovative and performant outputs
· Strong presentation and facilitation skills are desirable to varying technical and non-technical audiences
· A deep passion for technology and a love of learning new concepts and technologies
· Demonstrated ability to consistently provide FANATICAL support.
· Extensive technical pre-sales support experience
· Leading application platform consulting engagements, a strong plus
· Tenacious problem solver, will own issues until full resolution
· Demonstrated expertise in understanding business pains and architecting technical solutions
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail
· Strong rapport and relationship building skills with both internal departments and external customers
· A high level of industry awareness and the DevOps movement
