Find me on:

Ranger4 is excited to welcome Daniel Breston as Chief of DevOps Transformation! Daniel has over 40 years experience in IT Service Management and Operations, and has worked all over the planet. He comes with a desirable skillset, having worked almost every role within an IT organisation - including engineer, developer, senior management.

We had a chat with Daniel about his new role at Ranger 4!

"I think Ranger4 is the type of organisation that wants to understand the organisation before they submit a proposal, and that proposal is going to be more than just 'use this particular product.’ It’s going to be about encompassing all aspects of DevOps, which is looking at flow, feedback, interactions, cultural and behavioural changes. Our goal is to   make things better, faster and safer."

When it comes to DevOps, the word in itself can be daunting. Either you get it and love it, or you just don't know where to begin and keep it as a distant thought. But all good things take time, and people like Daniel are here to help you understand DevOps better.

"Organisations need technology to solve problems, remove obstacles in order to achieve a goal, and do so as effectively and efficiently as possible. DevOps looks at the whole lifecycle, from idea to creation to implementation to replacement. DevOps introduces ways to get the flow of that lifecycle to be as fast but governed as possible, explains Daniel.

Not only will Daniel be teaching us lots here at Ranger4, but he is also a valuable resource, and a key person in your network. We asked Daniel what he's most looking forward to in his new role as Chief of DevOps Transformation, and what he hopes to gain.

“I’m most looking forward to learning. I want to be able to see how the market continues to mature. It’s obviously changed in lots of different directions in the 40 years that I’ve been involved. To be able to help in that journey and learn from others in the world on this is what I’m looking forward to while sharing that with customers and Ranger4.”

Welcome aboard the rocketship Daniel, even more great things to come!
