AppDynamics & IBM Partner Up - Yay!

We at Ranger4 are really excited to hear that two of our partners (AppDynamics and IBM) have announced they are partnering up too.

Before we dive into the details of the partnership, let's take a step back and understand who these companies are and how this partnership will benefit everyone.

AppDynamics make application performance management software designed to help dev and ops troubleshoot problems in complex production apps by monitoring application health and sending out alerts when there's an issue. Troubleshooting's easy when you can see your entire application and drill down as needed to see the code execution in the application server and database. Even more so when you can automate fixes.

Bluemix is IBM's latest PAAS offering, leveraging Cloud Foundry to enable developers to rapidly build, deploy, and manage their cloud applications, whilst tapping into a growing ecosystem of available services and runtime frameworks. IBM also provides services and runtimes into their ecosystem based on their own extensive software portfolio as well as allowing contributions from developers and ISVs - including AppDynamics.

So what does this all mean?

It means that the power of the AppDynamics Application Intelligence Platform is now available on the IBM Cloud marketplace. So, this is great for IBM customers looking to further simplify application development and operations for increased innovation and the industry’s lowest overall total cost of ownership (TCO) can opt to include AppDynamics at no additional cost. This platform-as-a-service (PAAS) offering is critical for modern enterprises as infrastructures continuously evolve in the application development process.

IBM clients can easily discover and implement the instant services, runtimes, infrastructure, and instrumentation to push their ideas into the present with AppDynamics.

“Making AppDynamics easily available to the IBM cloud developer community through the IBM Cloud marketplace provides enterprise developers the nimbleness of the Cloud, the stable, reliable service they expect from IBM, and AppDynamics’ unparalleled visibility and control required to ensure optimal application performance,” said Matthew Polly, senior director of business development at AppDynamics.

We look forward to seeing more from this collaboration as new innovative applications and services are needed in order to keep pace with the rapidly changing business requirements.
