It's the Ranger4 #DevOpsFriday5 series - today we will hear from Matt Wills. Take is away Matt!

1) What’s your preferred definition of DevOps?

A methodology that transforms the culture of operations from being manually event driven to being collaborative and versatile working with the development community to automate standard operational activities.

2) When people ‘do’ DevOps, what’s the most common mistake you see them make?

Not sharing their ideas and doing their own thing.

3) How do you recommend an organisation new to DevOps start?

Start small and simple, measure and show the benefits in terms that the business and senior leadership teams understand and appreciate.

4) What’s your prediction for what DevOps will look like in 2020?

I expect DevOps to have scaled out and  be used by large enterprise organisations as well as smaller more versatile teams.

5) Where do you like to go to get a DevOps hit?

Websites, I don’t have any specific location as it all depends what I’m looking for, good old google is always my first point of call, from there I will just browse the sites that give me what I’m looking for.
